Hi guys!!!

Today I for Untried Thursday I used three untrieds! Whoop!!! I'm slowly gonna get through all these polishes I tell ya!

So as you probably know i'm obsessed with animal print. I just can't help it. When I put all these colors together I just knew immediately they would look awesome as a leopard print! First off here are the Untrieds I used.

I think these are SO cute. I love the combination of gray, pink and blue together. I think leopard print tends to be the design I fall back on. It's easy, hard to mess up and always pretty. Plus there are a tons of different ways to incorporate it into your designs. Do you have a technique you tend to fall back on? Tell me in the comments I'd love to hear it! 

Pinsperation

Hola!

I have decided to start a new series on my blog! Basically every Friday I am going to post a Pinterest inspired manicure. I love Pinterest I think it is one of the greatest creations on earth! LOL! Like most people I can spend hours on that site and discover new things everyday. There are so many talented nail artists out there and I am always inspired by them, so that is why I've decided to do this series. Sort of like honoring the amazing talent that is out there! Plus it's a way for me to try out things that I never have. This should be a great learning experience for me.

 So for my first post I picked this design.

Day 24- Inspired By a Game

Hi guys!

When I saw todays challenge I knew automatically what I wanted to do. I loveeeeee Checkers. I think their are few games that are more fun. Weird right? LOL Today I didn't have a lot of time so I just did a basic checkerboard design. It came out pretty well. Here it is!

Day 23 Inspired By Nature

Hi guys!

For todays challenge we were to do mani's inspired by nature. It took some thinking but then I remembered I had these! (Picture taken from Amazon)

I got these from Amazon. You get this whole set for about 5 bucks. They do take about two weeks to arrive since they are coming from China but I don't mind the wait! ;) Each little container only holds about 3-4 actual flowers you don't get THAT many. But really how often do you see yourself sticking dried flowers on your nails? LOL Especially some of those big ones. I decided to do a green gradient and then I stuck a couple of flowers on. Kinda like a little garden. hahaha

Kinda Cute huh? It reminds me of the bad Easter hats my mom used to make me wear. All I needed was a little lace and I'd be good to go! HAHA!

Day 15- Watercolor

Day 15!!! Today we had to do watercolor nails. This was a first for me. I looked at a couple of tutorials and then just dived right in. Maybe next time I'll look at a couple more! hahahaha

I think i'll try this over one day. I like the technique. Can't wait to see all the lovely designs! Everyone is so talented. :)

Day 14....Freaking Stamping!!

*Sigh* Stamping sucks....really really sucks.  I am over it. Someone teach me!!! I am only posting these because I am not afraid to make fun of myself. AND so hopefully someone will see how pitiful my stamping is and want to help me. LOL

Blue fingers random splotches of stamping but I do enjoy the color combo and once someone teaches me the proper way to stamp I will be retrying this one! A couple of days later I decided to try this stamp thing again... once the blue faded from my fingers! ;)

And then this happened.......... I started with a white and purple gradient. Which was really pretty by itself. Then I tried to stamp the zebra print on; only because the original stamp I wanted weren't working (hummingbird). So then I get this zebra print weird-ness that only kinda works because its zebra print...and zebra print really isn't perfect..right? THEN I decided that it didn't look crappy enough so I decided to add some damn glitter on top...because glitter is always pretty!  Well...it didn't help. And that pinky? I don't even know. *hangs head shamefully* So there it is...Day 14.

What am I doing wrong??!!! I have one plate from  Vivid Lacquer and the rest were in this salon express kit. I'm not really sure what a good quality plate is. So I don't know if it's the plates or not! As for the stamper itself I just use the one that came in the salon express kit. The black is from Sinful Colors. Advice?

The NEW 31 Day Challenge Day 13- Cheer Yourself Up Mani

Hi guys! A cheer yourself up Mani. Hmmmm Well this is what I came up with.

 When I think of things that make me happy; nothing makes me happier than polka dots. This is a mani that I would just stare at and smile. I love wearing blue. I think it's my favorite color to wear...after pink of course! The light blue kinda reminds me of the sky...also something that makes me smile. Please excuse my ravaged cuticles. I am in desperate need of a manicure!

Day 11 Splatter

Hi guys! For todays challenge we had to do splatter nails. YAY! I love splatter nails. I get to make a big ol' mess and call it nail art. :) I had a hard time with getting the distance between nail and straw right so sometimes I ended up with big blotches instead of splatters but I was still pretty happy with it. Here it is!

I used Sally Hansens Eel Skin (gray) Sinful Colors Boom Boom (pink) and Pure Ice Superstar (white).

I can't wait to see what all the other participants came up with. Ciao! 

Day 10! Whooo!

Well It's day 10 of the challenge! I am so proud of myself for sticking to it. I am loving this challenge! It's makes me think and try things that I haven't. I feel like I am growing...and it's only been 10 days! Imagine how I'll feel on day 31! For todays challenge we had to do Geometric nails. Now my biggest issue with today is lines. I cannot for the life of me get my lines straight. It has plagued me all my life. When I was in school I would hate to write on anything but lined paper. If I didn't have a line to follow I kid you not my words would slowly but surely creep upwards. Imagine these lines were words. It would go like this _ _ _ _ / . Terrible I know. I knew my lines were gonna be interesting today but hey. We can't all be perfect right?

Not so bad! My lines are...decent. Varying widths and angles...but I think it works! Here's another shot...Not gonna lie I was playing with my cameras settings. This photography thing is difficult.

The NEW 31 Day Challenge Day 5-Purple

Hi there! I'm so happy it's the weekend! Whooo! What are ya'll up to? I'm thinking I'm going to be doing lots of nail painting! :) Todays challenge is purple! Yay! Who doesn't love purple!?? Sadly I don't own many purples which is weird. I'm defiantly gonna  have to do some purple shopping. ;) My girlfriend probably won't be to happy about that. Oh well! On to the Nails!

I had to practically beat my camera to get the light purple to show up right! It kept showing it as this really washed out white. Sometimes I feel like I need a photography for dummies book. hahahaha

Quick Sidenote. Did anyone else take part in the Zoya sale yet? I was on it as soon as I realized the code was working early! I got Blaze, Holly and Sooki. I am very excited. I only have a few Zoyas. I tried to buy some during all those flash sales they were holding last month, but man did I suck!!! I didn't get anything!

The NEW 31 Day Challenge. Day 4-Pink

I am so excited to show todays mani!! I loveeee pink!!! It's my favorite color and so to highlight it I thought I would take a stab at something that I think is so beautiful but I've never tried. Stained Glass!!! Once I finished I realized how easy it really is. Honestly if I can do it anyone can!!! hahaha Here's what I ended up with.

Cute huh!? To do this mani I used my dotting tool and four different shades of pink and made random dots all over my nail. Then using a black liner I went around all the dots kinda boxing them in. I finished with a thick layer of Seche Vite. I love this design. I think it turned out pretty well. Especially being my first time trying. :)

Candy Canes and Snowflakes

So for my final post of the day I have a candy cane snow flaked themed mani. I plan on entering this into a contest over at Simply Rins Nail Art Designs and More. I pretty much love this manicure. I am so proud of it!

I used Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby for the red and for the White I used Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I used a white liner for the snowflakes and a silver liner for the silver accents on the candy canes. With the exception of my pinky snowflake the rest turned out pretty good! I actually am not the biggest fan of peppermint candy canes. Call me weird! I like the fruitier tasting ones. YUM! Have a wonderful Wednesday. It's raining once again in Sac but today is my Friday and payday so I'm not complaining! CVS is having an amazing clearance sale. Check out the master list at http://nouveaucheap.blogspot.com/  I went last night and picked up a few polishes for 1.37 each!!!! Can you believe that?!!!! I am going back today to clean house! Rain will never stop me from partaking in a sale! hahahaha

Ho HO Ho!

Hi there! I'm really starting to get into the Christmas Spirit. I have my first Christmas themed mani today. Yay! 

 

I used Sinful Colors Exotic Green for the base then using NYC Matte Me crazy I matted them. (I do adore matte finishes) Then using a white liner I did the snowflakes and the words. Then I added some random polka dots because well...why not! hahaha Kinda cute I think. I'm a bit happier with my snowflakes than last time. Yay! One more mani to post after this. :)

Dotticure

   I love dots! I think they are the best things ever! I've been rocking a super cute dotticure for the past few days. I figure it was time to put them up here. 

  

Cute right? I just love easy to do manicures. I used all sinful colors for this mani. I really like Sinful Colors they are cheap have a huge range of colors and finishes and they are pretty good quality. I've had this manicure on for a week now and still no chips! And hey look at my cleanup! Getting better! :)

Have a happy Friday. It's raining and storming in Sacramento so I will be spending the day indoors. Yay for lots of nail painting time! Hopefully the power doesn't go out. I wonder if I can paint my nails by candle light. hahahaha

Starry Nights

Hi there!

I actually created something that i'm pretty happy with! haha I'm so hard on myself sometimes but only because I want to be the best I can be! Nothing wrong with that is it? On to the pictures!

 
I love it!!!! I did the gradient with Sinful Colors Midnight Blue and Sinful Colors Casablanca (silver) after I finished the gradient I did a light coat of Pure Ice Don't You Wish. The blue was already a bit shimmery so I thought the glitter over it would give it that perfect amount of sparkle. :) And then I went digging through Wet N' Wild The Star in the Show for the stars. I love those stars but man are they a pain to get out of the bottle! I finished it up with a coat of Seche. Hope you guys enjoy. I love this design!

Today I have a Beetlejuice themed manicure that I did for Paper Thin Nails nail art contest. The theme was Beetlejuice and it had to be freehand. Heres what I came up with.

Drugstore Haul pt.1

Hi there!

It's been awhile since my first post. Sorry! I've been shopping a lot lately. All of these collections coming out I'm trying to keep up! Today I'm going to show you some stuff I've purchased recently; most of which were pretty cheap! Yay! I'm going to separate the haul posts into two so it won't be too picture heavy! ;)


First off I went to Walgreens looking for Wet N Wilds party rock collection. No luck! But! I came across Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure Line and guess what!!!? It was on clearance for $1.99!!!!!!! Can you believe that! $1.99! Usually it runs about $8-9 bucks! I hear that they are re releasing the line so I guess thats why it's so cheap but I love a bargain so I picked up a few. I plan on going back for more this week.

Whew! So that was all of my Walgreens haul. I am in love with Essies Leading Ladies collection. I want every single color and I've decided that I'll buy one each week until I have them all! And those Sally Hansen Colors are wonderful! I had no problems with any of them. They went on smooth and opaque. Gotta love it! I got all of these colors for about 20 bucks. Can't beat that! My next post I will show you some stuff I found at the Dollar Store! Until then.. Ciao!

Newbie Here!

Well after a lot of urging and confidence boosting I've finally decided to get started on this nail blogging journey. I can't promise to be great but I can promise to keep trying.
