Proud Beauty Bloggers of Color Orange Collaboration

Hi guys! I have a special post for you guys today. As some of you may know I am a member of Proud Beauty Bloggers of Color.

We are a group of darker skinned women who have come together to discuss the obstacles and challenges we face as beauty bloggers. We decided to do a collaboration post this month using the color Orange. I was excited and nervous about using Orange; it's just not my color! I decided to add some black in it..It's never to early for Halloween right!?

I used Orly Melt Your Popsicle which is a bright neon Orange and Orly Liquid Vinyl. I figured if I had to use orange, It may as well be neon!

I think this just may be my favorite orange ever! I never ever thought I would speak those words. LOL!

I hope you enjoyed this post and please make sure to look at the other talented ladies posts. I am so thrilled to be apart of this group and I look forward to future collaborations!

ABC Challlenge- G

Hi guys!

This weeks challenge is G. I kept it super simple this week. I went to Sallys and they were having a spend 3 dollars get an Orly for free. I suspect they are trying to get rid of the old bottles. *snif* I loved those bottles. I am not a fan of the new ones at all! Anyways I picked the prettiest one in the jar and it happened to start with a "G" score! So here is Orly Green With Envy.

Neither of these pictures is really it's true color though. It has more green in it.  It's such a pretty color. I've been wearing it for 4 days now which is totally unheard of with me! Haha Next week is "H". See ya then!

Day 22-Inspired by a Fabric

Hi guys!

Todays challenge was fun! Our nails had to be inspired by a fabric. I grabbed the first thing I saw and went to work! Here is what I came out with.

My inspiration was from a tank top I bought from Old Navy last year. I really like this. It's not perfect but I think that makes it look even better.

I used:
Nicole By O.P.I- Ladies In the Limelight (Yellow)
Orly- Shockwave (Dark Blue)
Sally Hansen- Himalayan Blue (Light Blue)
Sally Hansen - Eel Skin (Grey)

Hope you enjoy. I am so excited to see everyones designs!

The NEW 31 Day Challenge. Day 4-Pink

I am so excited to show todays mani!! I loveeee pink!!! It's my favorite color and so to highlight it I thought I would take a stab at something that I think is so beautiful but I've never tried. Stained Glass!!! Once I finished I realized how easy it really is. Honestly if I can do it anyone can!!! hahaha Here's what I ended up with.

Cute huh!? To do this mani I used my dotting tool and four different shades of pink and made random dots all over my nail. Then using a black liner I went around all the dots kinda boxing them in. I finished with a thick layer of Seche Vite. I love this design. I think it turned out pretty well. Especially being my first time trying. :)

I used
Orly-Hawaiian Punch
Zoya-Lara
Sinful Colors-Pink Forever
Wet N Wild- Candy-Licious
Pure Ice- Black Out

Can't wait to see all the pink manis!!!! See ya tomorrow for purple!

Stamping Fail!

Hey There!

There is a nail art contest over at Creative Nail Design by Sue. It's a stamping contest. My first thought was OH GOD! You see me and stamping do not get along. AT ALL! I am absolutely terrible at it. So I thought well I might as well try right? Wellllll here's what I ended up with.

GAHHHHHH this is not what I was planning on! :( Some flowers turned out decent the rest were a hot mess! I used Orly Buried alive as the base and for the flowers I used Sinful Colors Snow White. Thats right. White!!!  So why are they yellow? I have no idea! As soon as I spread a coat of Seche Vite on top they yellowed! I don't quite mind the yellow so I guess it's ok. I'm not even sure I should enter this mess. HAHAH I'm convinced its my crappy plates fault. I'm ordering new ones as soon as I finish posting this. :)  Have a happy Friday!

Ciao!
